Welcome to Live From The Bottom, HOME TO WOODYSTOCK - A Texas sized Red Dirt Country Music Festival along the banks of the Red River and Wild Horse Creek. highlighted by a Texas/Oklahoma Volunteer Fire Department Chili Cook-off.
WoodyStock is the brain child of Jimmy and Irene Smith. The couple bought a dream farm along the Red River and with alot of cleaning and clearing of salt cedars, were able to revive a costal hay field. Feeling blessed, they wanted to give back something to the community, hence forth WoodyStock was BORN.
Red Dirt Music was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Its style of music is highly influenced by Texans and Okies. So what better place then the Red River to celebrate Red Dirt Music at its best. Texas and Okies have always had rivalries, but one thing for sure is how improtant VFD's are to their community. This event is designed to benefit the VFD's of the community.
Texas Red Dirt is growing more popular everyday, that's apparent with the success of WoodyStock 2009. It's raw country at its best. Come be a part of the Texas Red Dirt Festival and show your support for up and coming country stars. This is not only a music festival but also a volunteer Fire Department Chili Cookoff supporting the VFDs of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The Chili Cookoff and parking serves as a fundraiser for local volunteer fire departments to help raise money for operating expenses and needed supplies.
WoodyStock 2009 raised money
for the Volunteer Fire Departments,
we'd like to double that money this year
and with your help we can.
